Work at Home during Pandemic Period in Education and Information Technology Sectors

Abstract

Pandemic period created unprecedented changes in the routine life of a common man.  The way of our social life and official life has drastically undergone a sea change.   Pressure peeps around all the corners and makes each and every person across the age group to live within four walls with a mask along with the fear of survival.  Health issues, financial crisis, psychological trauma, support system crashes are the major challenges faced by every person in this crisis period.  Various sectors emerge with multiple ways of doing their work and discharging their duties adhering safety norms and social distancing.   Few sectors add additional pressure in this pandemic period.  Perception of the employees on the various stress factors between the Information Technology sector and education sector may give interesting findings and ways and means to fine-tune the employees in their own work space.  This study explores the perception of the employees in teaching and information technology sector during this pandemic period.  The Perception of Employees on flexibility, pay benefits, efficiency, motivation, staff well being, work life balance and absenteeism during work at home were taken for the analysis. The similarity of variation of opinion across the sector is probed through kruskal Wallis test.
