Harmonic Reduction and Improvement of Reliability for Grid Connected PV System using High Level Inverter

Abstract

Power generation using PV systems has been increasing continuously over the past decade due to growing population, less running cost, free of pollution and also having great demand on clean energy source. Power electronic devices switching action and fluctuations in radiated energy from sun introduce harmonics into the system. That makes unreliable operation of system. For reliability improvement of the system and also in order to get minimal hormonal voltages at grid a multilevel inverter is employed. Multilevel inverter with H-bridge connection makes less complexity in switching action by taking optimizing technique for inverter as PSO.
