Abstract

Last one decade onwards population increasing drastically in the society which leads to increase of electrical energy consumption. Presently conventional energy resources are inadequate to meet the sharp increase in demand, In addition to the Renewable Energy Resources(RERs). Because, RERs like wind and solar energy are intermittent in nature. Hence it requisites to use power management strategy to prevent energy resources. In literature, it is perceived that ANFIS based AC Microgrid with PSO is developed for maintaining stability in the system. In this paper an AC micro-grid with doubly fed induction generator, solar photovoltaic, diesel generator, AC loads and multilevel converter are considered. This paper proposes AC microgrid with PSO based ANFIS controller using multilevel converter in the rotor side . The proposed controller consists of PSO with ANFIS controller in the diesel generator side and ANFIS based controller in the rotor side converter. The performance of  the AC microgrid with Power management strategy and reducing Total Harmonic Distortion is investigated and simulated by the MATLAB/SIMULINK software.
