Abstract

The unchecked depletion of non - renewable as a source of energy has resulted from their exploitation. Besides that, the threats of global warming, climate change, and pollutants must all be addressed at the same time. Energy utilization has risen at an extraordinary rate as a result of rapid population growth. Because of its availability and enormous potential as a renewable energy source, biomass is a viable option for power generation, processing, and transportation. Bio-char, bio-oil, and synthesis gas have been generated by thermally treating biomass processes such as gasification and pyrolysis. Transesterification, synthesis gas processing, and pyrolysis use bio-char as a catalyst. Bio-char-based products have been used in batteries, super capacitors, and fuel cells. Resources from biomass could thus aid in power generation, processing, and conservation, assisting us in sustainable construction and ensuring the energy security of our planet.
