A Novel Algorithm to Secure Big Data Iot System

Abstract

IoT and Cloud are most emerging research areas of current scenario. As of integrating the two most prominent sources to emerge, the need of current and future devices improves integrity, reliability and so on. The above approach improves the capability of maintaining the generated data through storing in variety of devices with various forms. Since this integration needs an effective and composite IoT based cloud architecture to provide a secured environment for Cloud-IoT. Therefore, the proposed work focus in developing a secured environment for the cloud based IoT architecture through the given below format. First, the IoT devices are sub grouped as sensitive devices and non-sensitive devices based on the location where the devices is implemented. Generally, the IoT devices implemented to collect a medical information are categorised as sensitive devices and the devices implemented in home for home automation are categorised as non-sensitive data.  The sensitive information are deployed in private cloud and it generally encrypted through proposed advanced RC6 algorithm. The proposed algorithm is implemented using NS3 simulator and the performance evaluation is carried out based on computational time, security strength and encryption and decryption time.
