A Study on Job Satisfaction of Employees in Star Category Hotels in Mysuru
Abstract
Job satisfaction is prevailing among employees of hotels when they enjoy and involve in their jobs and realize that they are rewarded and recognized for their great efforts. The results explicate that employees of star category hotels are satisfied with work culture, career development, amenities, relation with others, additional benefits, training and performance assessment. Significant difference exits amongst profile of employees and their job satisfaction in star category hotels. Job satisfaction of employees of star category hotels is moderately, significantly and positively related with their loyalty. In order to enhance job satisfaction of employees, star category hotels should give sufficient salary and increments to their employees and they must allot workload reasonably to them. In addition, star category hotels should ensure job security for their employees at least for three years.
