A Knowledge Graph Analysis on PE Teachers’ Research Hotspots

Abstract

Based on 2,057 research papers recorded in CNKI from 1998 to 2020, this paper applies the software-Cite Space V to make visualized graph analysis and metrological measurement, counts out a clear line about the research progress, frontier hotspots, development trends, and interactive relationship between institutions and professionals. In this way, we can calculate the quantitative divisor factors and draw a visual map of collinear network clustering distribution. This study is carried out from theoretical to practical perspectives to explore a general research context on domestic PE teachers’ professional development and provide some references for this field. The results show that 1) the research attention degree on China PE teachers professional development shows a trend from quick rising to wave-like stable. A large number of researchers have spared their efforts in this field, showing a solid mass foundation and great popularity 2) The main research institutions with highly publication output and continuous attention are Beijing Sport University, School of Physical Education in Central China Normal University, School of Physical Education in Henan University. These research institutions have a lower collaborative and communication relation degree among each other. 3) Some of the leading professionals are Jian Wang, Ke Zhou, Junwei Huang while there are fewer younger experts in this field. 4) The content of research system includes professional attitude, professional ability, regions, physical courses in schools, and training modes. The research system is relatively complete, but the level of research enthusiasm is uneven. 5)some frontier research in this field corresponds to national policies, such as “core literacy”, “equal education”, “rural teachers” in order to deal with problems in real work.
