Investigation and Implementation of various Spectrum Sensing Techniques in Cognitive Radio Network
Abstract
To relieve the shortage of spectrum, CR enables unlicensed users to access licensed frequency bands via dynamic spectrum access. To address this, intelligent spectrum sensing technologies such as cooperative sensing, which uses data from many users, must be implemented, among other things. Any CR system's fundamental issue is to enhance SU throughput while minimizing interference to PU. When designing a cognitive radio network, it is necessary to consider the right sensing and transmission timing techniques and the particular sensing mechanisms that will be used. In this study, we will look at various elements of MFD, ED, and CFD approaches while using an AWGN channel. Several fading channel models are used to compare and simulate the suggested strategies to assess their detection performance and compare it to earlier work.
