Quality of Work Life in Healthcare Sector: An Exploratory Study

Abstract

In the context of rigorous and challenging work practices of healthcare industry, it is essential that a balanced work environment should exist for the professionals.  Ranging from doctors to the paramedical staffs, the stress associated with their job is remarkable. A balance in work environment refers to an appropriate work culture including rest, welfare provisions, and obviously the payout.  The quality of work life is, therefore, a significant issue for modern healthcare institutions to consider carefully as far as their human resource management policies are concerned.
