IOT Associated Intelligent Path Condition Monitoring System using Satellite Communication

Abstract

The maintenance of road conditions is one of the key issues that countries are facing. Because poor road conditions, such as pothole, cause the most of of traffic accidents, the importance of road infrastructure for society is critical. Potholes are caused by poor road quality and maintenance. These ill roads are also caused by the constant movement of overweight vehicles such as trucks. Vehicles will suffer severe tyre damage as a result of these poor-quality roads, as well as, more importantly, the accidents that will occur of them. An ideal system for monitoring road conditions and analyzing future work should be developed. Using an advanced sensor system, We propose an unique strategy for preventing these hazards. The sensors will be mounted on vehicles, and the data collected by the sensors, as well as the GPS-ascertained coordinates, will be transmitted to the road transport authority via the Internet of Things (IOT), where officials will take appropriate action. More damaged areas can be prioritized using the data gathered.
