Abstract

Agriculture4.0 is coming out as an emerging application of Internet of Things (IoT), taking a big lead in society focusing on Precision Irrigation. Agriculture4.0 is intended because food demand is increasing with rising in the world population. Monitoring of various agriculture activities such as application of fertilizers, irrigation of plants, rain, and drought conditions succour farmers to the righteous decision. The article discusses the importance of weather monitoring and also provides the important weather parameters playing deciding role in irrigation planning. Based on the identified weather variable hardware prototype implementation of the weather station with IoT is provided. This article also juxtaposes the implemented whether station with published literature on weather station designs for the challenges in the previous art. The system developed in this article provides a cost-effective and state-of-the-art solution to local weather monitoring.
