Abstract

Achieving adaptation and high performance in the contemporary building depends on the work of the building that is scheduled to adapt and be in a coordinated and integrated manner between its systems without affecting the environment and without consuming resources and energy, as the work of each system depends on its sequence within the building block from the outside to the inside and thus the outer envelope system is The first system that with its technological work with the external and internal environment achieves a large part of the adaptation that we aspire to.

Thus, since the best solutions to reach a holistic approach to the various aspects of building design is to combine good design and adaptation in a way that achieves personal comfort while increasing the life of the building. Hence the general problem of research in (the complete lack of knowledge of the role of the outer envelope system in achieving adaptation in contemporary architecture buildings), and with a research problem represented by (the lack of knowledge about a method that demonstrates the impact of the diversity of manufactured materials in the building envelope to reach adapted buildings in contemporary architecture), In order to reach the goal of the research in (building a theoretical framework on the concepts of sustainable adaptation in the obsolete building in contemporary architecture and the mechanisms for achieving it to reach a sustainable architecture using the perspective of energy efficiency and natural resources consumption), where the research assumed that (diversity of materials gives different rates of adaptation to the environment, As the contemporary manufactured materials contributed to improving the adaptability of buildings), by making a research design plan using a selected sample of examples and using comparative analysis between them to reach the final results and conclusions.
