Factors Affecting 21st Century Skills on Academic Achievement of Undergraduate Students
Abstract
This research aims to investigate the factors affecting the 21st century skills on academic achievement of undergraduate students. Quantitative research was used in this research. The results showed that students had 21st century skill at a good level (Mean = 4.055, S.D. = 0.583). Considering the skill of each aspect, it was found that students have the highest average score in skills of creative thinking and leadership. The strategies to develop students' skills are a policy to improve creative thinking skill, communication skill, and problem-solving skill. Building an understanding of problem-solving as well as applying thinking strategies will help students become more successful in 21st century education. Moreover, factors affecting the 21st century skills were sex (), self-concept (), social supporting (), family relationship (), a relationship between students and teachers (), and relationships between students and friends () are related to the 21st century skills at a significant level of 0.01.
