Abstract

The problem of placing PMU does not represent a unique type of solution. On the basis of starting point, the scheme of optimization may include distinct sets of optimized solutions, where each one of usually provided the minimum same number of PMUs at distinct places. The increasing opportunity of PMUs at the substations mainly empowers the measurements of synchronized form to several kind of applications, like the system-based monitoring placed under temporary operations or the control and protection of energy-based power systems in case of abnormal working conditions. The main goal of OPP is mainly to pinpoint a minimized set of PMUs on the basis of which, the overall system becomes observable. For this in this paper use flower pollination approach which improve allocation error by levy fitness function. experiment done on IEEE 30 and 14 bus system.
