Logistics Efficiency Measurement and Comparative Analysis in Henan Province

Abstract

Henan Province is an important hub province connecting the north and the south, and the East and the West. Logistics efficiency is an important index reflecting the allocation of logistics resources and the application of logistics information technology. This paper with the DEA method, through the selection of input and output indicators, constructs the efficiency measurement model, and measures the efficiency of logistics industry in Henan Province and makes comparison. The analysis shows that the overall level of logistics efficiency in Henan Province is relatively high, and the average efficiency of logistics industry is 0.986, in which technical efficiency is the main driving force for the improvement of logistics efficiency in Henan Province, and scale efficiency is the main obstacle for the improvement of logistics efficiency in Henan Province. The results of comparison show that the comprehensive efficiency of logistics, technical efficiency and scale efficiency of Henan Province rank second among the surrounding nine provinces.
