In HMIM wave guide the silver is used as metal, PTFE is used as low dielectric and AlGaAs is used as high dielectric. The HMIM characteristics like characteristic impedance, propagation length, and effective refractive index are analyzed using Finite Differential Time Domain (FDTD) solver of CST studio suite software. The HMIM waveguide based Circular Ring Resonator (CRR) is investigated for dual band BPF applications. The proposed CRR is operates in the 1300 nm and 1600 nm wavelengths.
