Abstract

People in contemporary culture ignore several everyday necessities as a result of their busy lives. Elderly persons and those with chronic illnesses should take their medications correctly and on schedule. Typically, medications are taken in a predetermined dosage for a certain amount of time. Medical issues may result from missing doses.

Elderly folks don't consistently take medicine since they tend to lose their memory as they age. Here, an IoT-based smart med box and health monitoring system for the elderly is suggested. The system's primary component is a Raspberry Pi 4 computer, together with an LCD display that shows the time and the name of the medicine being taken, a temperature sensor, a heartbeat sensor, and a buzzer that sounds a warning at predetermined intervals. Medication Reminder is an Internet of Things application that shows measured values, drugs, and their dosing intervals.
