Trends and Application of Data Science in Bioinformatics
Abstract
In recent years, breakthroughs in sequencing technology and quick advances in omics have created a large number of biological data. Analysing and drawing conclusions from such huge amounts of data necessitates sophisticated analytical techniques. Bioinformatics is a multidisciplinary discipline that analyses and interprets biological data using statistics, computer methods, and information technology. As massive amounts of genomic, proteomic, and other data are created, analysing and interpreting such biological data sets necessitates the use of data science and data mining technologies. As a result, academics must increasingly rely on data-science technologies to store and interpret data. Data science is an interdisciplinary discipline that derives information and insights from huge data using algorithms and scientific methodologies.
