The Impact of Serial Tendering on Reducing Overhead Costs in Construction Projects
Abstract
Tendering are one of the important concepts in the construction industry, as researching their types and knowing the precise details of their definition and characteristics is the basics of the idea of using tendering, services and offers, Most community projects these days take up a significant amount of the overheads cost, as demand for these services increases. It is critical to account for reasonable financing in different public projects based on sustainable planning principles. When there is a shortage or lack of funding, it is essential to use continuity and serial tendering as a solution to the funding deficit. Interviews were conducted with project managers and senior engineers in Iraqi public sector institutions, as well as contractors and companies in the private sector, and the factors that affect public expenditures and their impact were extracted using continuity and serial tendering, followed by the creation of a questionnaire on these factors with using (SPSS) program version (25) as a tool in this study and its presentation to experts from senior engineers. It turns out that there are five main variables that branch out into 22 sub-variables.The findings provide practitioners and academics with valuable advice for reducing project overheads through the use of continuity and serial tendering. Reduce expenditures as a proportion of the total cost tendering.Evaluators (quantity surveyors) who deal with finite variables can enhance the accuracy of an underestimate, cost estimates, and project budgets when assessing future overhead expenses of projects.
