Effectiveness of SAQ Exercises on the Performance Level of Some Attack Skills in Team Handball Players
Abstract
The current research aims to identify the effects of S.A.Q. exercises on some attack skills (pass/receive – dribble – shooting – fake) in team handball. The researchers used the experimental approach (one-group design) with pre-/post-measurements. The researchers purposefully chose (10) players from the fourth-year students of Faculty of Physical Education – Al-Azhar University who practice handball and are all registered in the Egyptian Federation of Handball. In addition, another (10) students were chosen as a pilot sample from the same research community and outside the main sample. Results indicated that the recommended training program using SAQ exercises had positive statistically significant effects on some physical variables under investigation for the experimental group. The recommended training program using SAQ exercises had positive statistically significant effects on some attack skills of team handball under investigation for the experimental group as seen in improvement percentages.
