A Systematic Literature Review on Teachers’ Use of ICT and Learner-centered to Improve Listening Instruction

Abstract

This systematic literature review identifies and critically evaluates 19 studies to explore EFL instructors’ use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and learner-centered learning approach to improve listening instruction, with particular emphasis on factors effecting students’ learning outcomes. The aspects of ICT integration and benefits of ICT in education are also discussed. Overall, the findings reveal that ICT integration play an important role in supporting teachers changing teacher-centered approach to learn-centered approach. It is vital that teachers need to receive professional training to achieve full potential in integrating ICT in teaching practices. Last, implications for future research are identified.
