Abstract

In this paper we have presented power system security improvement with unified power flow controller under contingency rules using ITSA method.  Here, the analyzing of power system security is an important part to increase the system security as well as protect the system from many disorders. In this section, a new method is implemented to enhance the power system security in transmission lines. The optimization of fuel cost and system severity actions are done with the help of ITSA. An optimal power flow problem is overcomed by similar and non similar restrictions. This approach provides a good and reliable output with lower count of iterations. The security of the system is measured using contingency rules, OPF. The enhancement of power system security is achieved by using ITSA. The result is analyzed using MATLAB/Simulink platform.
