Abstract

This paper deals with no-idle flow shop scheduling problem to minimize total rental cost of machines while minimizing total time of completing the schedule. The real world is complex; complexity in the world generally arises from uncertainty. So, the concept of fuzzy environment is introduced in scheduling. We have also used transportation and set up time. A simple algorithm is provided. The algorithm is illustrated through a numerical example.
