Workplace Bullying and Intention to Leave: A Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract

This study to provide a detailed bibliometric analysis of workplace Bullying literature. To deploy bibliometric analysis, we extracted 149 documents from the Scopus database using the Boolean search between 1994 to 2021.  VosViewer software application was used to show the visualized trends in the area of research. Our results provide that the past decade recognized the concept of workplace bullying and witness large numbers of publications. In addition, our findings indicate that workplace bullying occurs in both developed and developing countries. The USA, Canada, and Australia are the countries with the greater number of  publications, and the number of studies on this topic tends to increase. Further, we found that Journal Of Nursing Management, Work And Stress, Employee Relations, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, International Journal of Environmental Research And Public Healthisthe main source which published quality research in the field of workplace Bullying literature. Additionally, the keywords that presented greater frequency in the study's abstract are workplace bullying, harassment, turnover intentions, and bullying. The populations of most of the studies are junior doctors, nursing staff, and nursing professionals. Indicators show that It's essential to contribute to knowledge development and to stamp out this kind of violence.
