A Socio-Legal Analysis of Child Sexual Abuse in India
Abstract
Children must be nurtured adequately throughout their formative years to grow up to become valuable members of society. Because children are the most vulnerable group in society, they are more susceptible to various abuses, especially sexual assault. It is a blatant violation of human rights to use children for sexual pleasure, which is the definition of child sexual abuse. The problem worsens quickly and has taken on a global nature, causing physical, emotional, and psychic harm to children when they do not disclose it to adults.
