Abstract

This paper develops an integrated inventory model from the perspectives of vendor and supplier under the imperfect production process. The demand rate is dependent upon level of inventory, selling price and frequency of advertisement for the vendor while supplier assumed multivariable demand rate. As per demand of the items, supplier uses two warehouses tom keep his excess inventory, one of them is own warehouse (OW) and other is rented warehouse (RW). Some production systems envisage that the material produced by the machine are of perfect quality, but due to machine breakdown or other reasons, machine produces imperfect items along perfect quality items. A different constant deterioration rate is taken for the vendor and supplier. Shortages are allowed only on the supplier’s part, which are partially backlogged. The objective of presenting this research paper is to reduce the total cost (TC) of inventory system. Finally, to understand this model, we are taking Sensitivity analysis along with Numerical Example.
