Mechanical Characterization and Vibration Analysis of Composite Laminated Cross Ply Symmetric and Antisymmetric Plates
Abstract
Over the few decades conventional materials has been replaced by composite materials for reduction in weight and for adequate improvement of Mechanical properties.Combined materials are broadly used in the fieldof Automobile and Aerospace productions due to their high powerand weight proportion, light mass, and high solidness. Itsuse can likewise remain to found in design of aircrafts, pipes, marine and vehicles. In this work two laminates are prepared with one is mixing aluminum in glass fiber reinforced composite plate and another coir in glass fiber reinforced composite plate. The hand lay-up process has been adopted in preparing the cross ply symmetric (00/900/900/00) and cross ply anti-symmetric (00/900/00/900) combination of the plates. Mechanical properties like tensile strength, flexural strength and hardness of prepared composite laminates will be identified by conducting the tests on Universal Testing Machine and Shore D scale Hardness tester. vibration analyzing is also done for the prepared composite laminates. The obtained experimental values are to be validated with literature values.
