Abstract

We must stay up with technology since it is never-ending and develops daily. This is why we must exercise extreme caution when selecting a database for the application we will create. This paper will attempt to provide a case study of comparison between non-relational databases with relational databases. We focus our discussion on one use of NoSQL database technology, MongoDB, and compare it to another application of relational databases, MySQL, to demonstrate why MongoDB is more efficient than MySQL.

We compared the performance evaluation of MYSQL and MongoDB. According to the results, MongoDB outperforms MySQL in terms of inserting, updating, and deleting data. So, we have determined that MongoDB performance is superior to MySQL performance
