Abstract

Digital technologies being a huge disruptor now, practically every organisation is now eager to participate in digital transformation (DX). The process of leveraging digital technology to build new or adapt existing business processes, culture, and customer experiences in order to satisfy changing business and market requirements is known as digital transformation (DX). Companies that have embraced digital transformation have seen increased revenues, market values, and profitability. Many companies have been driven to become DX companies for the reasons stated above, but they lack a clear strategy on how to develop the essential capabilities and skills to address this gap. Firms considering digital transformation must evaluate every area of their operations, which necessitates realigning skill sets, including hard and soft skills. The paper discusses the skills that employees, their leaders, and next-generation employees in an organisation will need to succeed in a digital transformation.
