Abstract

In this paper, worked with CPW to create a new filter structure. This filter has wideband property as well as good in band performance. The main component of proposed filter is CPW. CPW is placed on the substrate's conducting surface, providing excellent bandwidth, band performance, and a lower reflection coefficient. The basic section of the filter is made up of folded coupled microstrip lines.

Calculated dimensions of CPW were optimized by using Genetic Algorithm (GA). Filter's total length is less than one wavelength. The tight coupling for folded lines is provided by CPW at substrate’s top. Proposed filter shows two pass band from 3.2 to 7.5GHz and 11.6 to 11.9 GHz and one notch band from 7.5 to 11.6 GHz.CPW meandered filer is useful for C, X and Ku band applications. The meandered CPW filter is designed on a Fr4 substrate with a thickness of 1.6mm and a dielectric constant of 4.4. Total filter dimension is 17.55X7mm2. proposed filter gives compact size and good wideband characteristics.
