Abstract

A multi band proposed antenna using slotted ground plane for multipurpose wireless communication is proposed. The antenna is designed by using H shape slot in a ground plane and inverted U is to be proposed, they work as electronics band gap tuning such electronic gap tuning we can tune the band by changing the position of slot. The simulated antenna is used to choose the band for different wireless communication application.

In proposed design it work in four band from 3.3 to 3.4 GHz, 6.3 GHz to 6.8 GHz , 7.7 to 8.2 GHz and 9 GHz to 14 GHz. The exciting patch or a radiator patch consist of inverted U slot and separated ground and exciting patch through FR4 dielectric substrate. The radiation patch and ground is loaded with Via hole of a 0.5mm. The structure of a design is simple and easy to used.

The design of an antenna is 18 x 14 x1.5 mm3 and in dimension of wavelength is 0.3 λ0 where λ0 is a free space wavelength. This design is commonly suitable for wireless communication likewise wireless local area network, Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. X band etc application. The bandwidth of a proposed antenna is 69% with VSWR< 2 , minimum Reflection or return loss is  -20dBi and gain/directivity is 3.4 dBi/ 7 dBi respectively.
