Abstract

This paper presents an advanced overview of utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) in smart cities. A. Beginning with the fourth industrial revolution, the word "smart city" has grown in popularity. The key goal is to enhance citizen services and provide a better quality of life for city dwellers. The most critical aspect of the smart city idea is to make cities more people centered. It is now time to incorporate virtual reality as a frontend. Augmented Reality provides numerous opportunities to imagine complex urban systems to improve various applications that are useful for the smooth operation of smart cities with virtual and real environments, to live and  share urban experiences, to build an emotional atmosphere, to learn, to understand, and to act collaboratively.AR communicates more effectively with the public by providing instructions, knowledge about urban planning, such as e-governs, public health and safety, emergency services, asset management and maintenance, transportation, culture, heritage, and tourism. Users would be able to step through a virtual representation of a proposed building using augmented reality.

It has been reasoned that, considering monetary benefits, using AR innovation has improved the travel industry and support. Besides, as of recently, the greater part of the investigations attempts to demonstrate their idea as opposed to outline the grounded insightful methodology. On account of equipment and programming improvement, it is fundamental for future examinations to assess their speculation in a genuine metropolitan setting.
