Abstract

Solar energy equipment is launched especially for generating awareness about the environment about mass energy consumption and the need for power conservation with solar energy in India. But high initial cost, power backup problems in bad weather, transmission issues, are some of the major impediments for sustainable and faster implementation of solar energy in India. Hence, there is a strong need for the governments to bring policies to deal with these problems and manufacturers to improve awareness among consumers about the benefits of solar energy for humanity and the environment. The consumer perception is changing rapidly towards the use of electricity due to existing environmental hazards.
