Abstract
Indian bottled drinking water industry is driven by the events of unpredicted water shortage andhealth consciousness that has started to develop in the people. The market of bottled water is dominated by certainplayers from past few years since it is very competitive. The main marketing competition among the players is that ofpackaging and attractive labelling which gathers them huge consumer base. Thanks to the low pricing and attractivemarketing strategies Packaged Drinking water is now a product chosen by masses. Introduction in the rural areas is themainfactorresponsibleforthedevelopmentofthisindustry.Itsfurtherdevelopmentdependsontheconsumerawarenessaboutitsbenefitsandacceptance. Thisresearchdiscussestheconsumerbuyingbehaviourandtheacceptabilityofthesame amongthepeople ofthe research area.
