Abstract

For any brain-computer interface (BCI) system, the main aspect is the acquisition of EEG data. This study aims to develop a portable EEG signal acquisition system that can provide amplified and noise-free EEG signals that can be used for further processing. The system is designed using very low power and high gain instrumentation amplifier AD620, high gain operational amplifier LM324. EEG is passed through various filters and amplifiers to get distortion free and amplified EEG signals in this system. These signals are stored in DSO and then can be used for further processing. The time average function is used to acquire data from multiple channels.Eight channel data have been recorded in this study. The placement of these channels is based on an international 10-20 electrode placement system.
