Nonlinear Programming Approach to Fuzzy Erlang’s Loss Queuing Model
Abstract
This paper proposes a procedure for building the performance measures membership functions in a finite capacity loss queuing system with the arrival rate and the service rate being fuzzy numbers. In order to investigate the performance measurements of the finite capacity loss queuing system, a pair of mathematical non-linear programs are formulated to calculate the upper and lower bounds of the system characteristics. Extending the finite capacity loss queue in a fuzzy environment would have wider applications.
