A Study on Impact of Online Teaching on Work-Life Balance – With Respect to the Female Faculties of Selected Universities in Gujarat

Abstract

In the contemporary set-up, work-life balance has become one of the most concerning subjects for the individuals and the company as a whole. Globalization, work pressure and competition are key factors in ruling out the proper balance of work and life, where the inclusion of covid-19 pandemic leading to an era of compulsory online teaching has made the matters adverse. This change has become natural due to the altered environmental conditions. The situation, thus, has made many men placed together to research in this area. The research was designed to learn and understand the influence of compulsory transition from face-to-face teaching towards e-teaching. The research paper’s objectives revolved around the basics of finding whether the designation and nature of serving institute has a bearing on faculty’s work-life balance. It, also, identifies whether gender plays any role in a stable or imbalanced work and life. The paper, too, throws a light on the faculty’s satisfaction, belief and factors (be it motivational or restraining) that has an impact.  It, too, reveals the institutional policies, perspectivesand suggestions of females on the aforementioned topic. The paper culminates with findings, conclusion, suggestions and the details for future scope of study.
