Abstract

This paper proposes Sensorless control of surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drive using fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The speed and rotor position estimation of motor by the conventional first-order integrator and low-pass filter suffers the dc offset and harmonics, causes significant phase delay and performance deterioration at low speeds. Dual second order generalized integrators (DSOGI) have recently been utilized to decrease dc offset and harmonics in speed and rotor position. In this paper FLC proposed with DSOGI-FLL based sliding mode observer (SMO) for reducing the torque ripples and improving the dynamic response of the system. The proposed control configuration is tested different operating conditions and verified through MATLAB/SIMULINK soft ware.
