Measuring the Capability of a SME Manufacturing Process

Abstract

In order to master a manufacturing process of a product or a service, their performance must be controlled. Therefore, we must call upon statistic measurement and analysis tools that allow us to collect, evaluate and analyse real data on the process condition.TheSPC (Static process control) is one of the most used tools. This approach leads us to calculate a variable called Capability Cp, used to establish a control chart, that allow us to monitor the process condition afterwards.This is part of a SIX SIGMA approach set up by the SME company.
