Abstract

As the population is increasing day by day, water scarcity and pollution is becoming very common. This pollution or we can say contamination of water is generally caused due to natural or man-made activities. Most of the time, it is due to man- made reasons, one of the main reason is the contamination due to mixing(absorption) of heavy metals like iron, cadmium, copper etc. into water bodies coming out from the main source i.e. industries. The contamination of water with heavy metal can be very toxic to Human Health, as well as to different living beings. Some time it result in metal poisoning. This research includes the removal of heavy metal (arsenic) from a process called adsorption of such heavy metals by the use of absorption material present in abundant in India such as Agricultural waste, trees, Coal etc. In our research orange peel is used and compare the properties of water after and before treatment of water using adsorption.
