Nano Cement Production For Concrete Structures-A Brief Review

Abstract

Nanocement improves the technical quality of the Portland cement, reduces cost of production due to the use of 70 wt.% mineral additives, 1.2–2 times reduction of the fuel cost, and 2-3 times reduction of emission of NOx, SO2, and CO2 per tonne of cement. Data were collected from the existing cement factories and utilized to analyze the economic indicators of Nano cement production. The proposed price suggested is more than the current price of cement in the market, since demand will change the price. So, by this proposed price, Nano cement is price competitive with the ordinary Portland cement sold in the local market but considering future demands and proper marketing strategies a breakeven could be obtained.
