Experimental Study of Energy Absorption of a Steel Frame Building with Cross Braces

  • S. Saidiy

Abstract

The research paper presents the results of field tests for vibration effects of a one-story industrial steel frame building with cross braces along the columns. Conventional cross ties and cross ties with an energy absorber are considered for use in frame buildings for the purpose of seismic protection. As a result, the dynamic characteristics and energy absorption indicators of the building were determined.
