Abstract

The importance of survival of any firm in this highly competitive environment of business industry must not be over stressed. However, the Organizational Citizenship Behavior is considered as basic behavioral resource that can assists firms in achieving sustainable survival in the depth of economic instability as most of the organizations dependent on their workers for the success of the organization. Organizational Citizenship Behavior of workers is voluntary in nature and that behavior is over and above their roles and responsibilities that are already assigned to them. Organizational Citizenship Behavior is now gaining very much importance in the organizations these days. It describes those actions where employees are willing to work beyond their allotted work and roles. Every organization looks for employees who are ready to work some extra part and do hard works but also show good character, cooperation, teamwork in order to achieve goals of the organization. The determinants of Organizational Citizenship Behavior make significant impact on the performance of employees. Sample of 213 respondents were surveyed to know the impact of Various Determinants of the Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Individual Efficiency. Mean and multiple regressions were applied to get the end results. The study concludes that there is a significant impact of various determinants of the Organizational Citizenship Behavior on Individual Efficiency among employees of Large and Medium Scale Manufacturing Firms.
