Abstract

In modern times students have developed an interest on learning new things that are simple or complex through E-Learning platforms. They find that learning through online platforms have a powerful impact on understanding the subject. Especially in this pandemic time, almost all the educational institutions have shifted their teaching-learning through online platforms which paves wayfor Collaborative Learning (CL). It is an educational technique which includes students in a group working together to solve a problem and complete an entire task or to create a product. Several online platforms like Google Room, Skype for Education and Wikispaces ease the collaborative learning to go live and connect various people from different places around the world to connect and learn. This study aims at analysing the benefit of collaborative learning methods which impact the cognitive behaviour of the students that enriches their educational knowledge with the help of these platforms. Therefore, this paper presents various approaches for big education data based on Data Analytics (DA) and focus about various Machine Learning (ML) technique which can discover valuable patterns that can help to extract information. This provides the traditional learning analysis in higher education which has beyond more comprehensive discussion based on DA. Finally, to provide insights into areas that merit further study and also discusses about some of the research prospects available which use such techniques are also suggested.
