Manufacturing and Expertise Organization Using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps
Abstract
Many early technology and engineering management planning decisions must rely on specialists' assessments of evolving technologies, markets, and business environments due to a lack of available data. Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (FCMs) have been proposed by several authors as a tool for analyzing simulation models that can handle qualitative input and aid in making these kinds of decisions. There is, however, a dearth of documented real-world experience. Research will lead to six phases in the study for practitioners and university students who desire to use FCM technologies for real-world challenges. This is based on a large number of case studies and a thorough review of the relevant literature.
