Abstract

Human hair fibre is a natural waste materials with has no use other then burning. Due to the slow degradation it creates mostly health and even pollution related environmental problems, this type of waste is growing to be a major concern for lot of environmentalists all around the world. This devastated material can be used as a fiber as well as it can lower the use of other precious resources Fibers plays an important role in our day to day life and probably all over the world including not only straws of wheat, baggase, banana fiber, silk, cotton but even goat hair , horse hair and human hair as well Problems. Due to the possess of  low density, economical cost, and easy availability and are therefore rapidly replacing glass, carbon and many other manmade fibers that are being used as composites since ages. These are the devastated goods being originated in tons round the year which creates environmental issues like biodegradability and even pollution. This is not only provides an economical construction materials but also balances the environmental issues by utilizing the waste in a useful manner. Moreover in current scenario of constructions using admixtures for enhancing various properties which are not a part of conventional soils materials otherwise too causes severe environmental impurity. Human hair fibre is known to be strong in tension and it is also a non biodegradable matter and it can be easily available in an economical cost. Therefore, this current experimental study analysis the prospects of working on human hair as a fiber reinforced substance by studying and testing on clay soil reinforced with HHF.CBR and DST were performed with fibre reinforced soil containing human hair in different proportions like 1%, 1.5%, 2%.The results are compared with those are the unreinforced soil and those of the previous works that has been done. This experimental study will lead to the conclusion if the UCS,DST,CBR will increase or decrease on using human hair as a fiber reinforcement material in soil mixture.
