Power Controlled DSTATCOM Using Fuzzy Logic Controller in Distribution System Applications

Abstract

In this paperpower controlled DSTATCOM using fuzzy logic controller in Distribution System applications is implemented. The proposed system will compensate the harmonics and reactive power in distributing system consisting of non-linear loads. The proposed system reduces the power rating, filter size and DC link voltage. Fuzzy logic using PI controller is implemented.  The variation of DC-link voltage is provided which requires dc voltage supply. The proposed method utilizes renewable resources of energy such as solar cells as the dc voltage source. The proposed system is implemented in MATLAB environment. At last these are used in the applications of grid connecting applications, voltage improvement applications, and power factor improvement applications. From results it can observe that it gives effective results.
