Abstract

In the developed countries of the world, for a long period of formation of forms and methods of state support for small enterprises, conditions have been created that provide various sources of credit resources, and for banks, large firms and private investors - incentives to actively invest in the development of small business. At the same time, for enterprises with the highest risk level, there is still the possibility of obtaining soft loans at the expense of budget funds specially allocated by the state for this.

In the context of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and as a result of financial and economic problems, financial and economic support for small businesses is becoming especially relevant. Studying this problem on a regional scale makes it possible to formulate scientific recommendations for improving the investment climate.

Disclosure of the structure and content of the regional mechanism of financial and economic support for the development of small enterprises is also of great importance, which in turn is a condition for the formation of competitive, civilized market relations.

The economic functions of small business place its support and development among the most important state tasks, make it an integral attribute of reforming the economy of any country with a transitional market economy.
