Initiative Taken On Child Labor Abolition during COVID -19 Pandemic; A Global Perspective with Special Reference to International Labor Organization (ILO)

Abstract

The child labor is an issue, which not only hampers the child growth but also a sign of shame for the society. The causes of the same are poverty, hunger, illiteracy, ignorance, traditional thinking and lack of proper implementation of child labor laws. The child labor is existing in the society since long and during the pandemic; several efforts have been done by various organizations of the world to remove the same. Few types of child labor are helping the parents in the farming, working in small scale Industries, children working as a household help, children working in Dhabas and the most common name given to them is “CHOTU” (In India) and many more. This research papers has the aim to find out the efforts being made by several organization for removing the child labor from the world.
