Abstract

Ground metrological stations do not continuously represent the weather over a watershed since they probably are remote from the studied watershed and can have a scarceness in their datasets. Moreover, the recent records do not exist. This research presents a statistical procedure for using the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis (CFSR) dataset to implement in the modeling of watersheds representing different hydrological regimes. The Gamma distribution has beenindicated to be the optimum-fitted distribution for the studied data. It was found that under a specific weather situation, the CFSR datasets are reliable to considered in watershed hydrological models.
